Sep 27 2017 - Seminar on female genital mutilation in Sweden and Somaliland

On September 27, ActionAid, UN Women nk Sweden Local Association Uppsala and Female Integrity RISK Uppsala arrange a seminar to pay attention to and discuss methods to stop female genital mutilation in Sweden.

During the seminar, three invited language pipes from Somaliland will share their experiences from the work on female genital mutilation in Somaliland.

Location: Census on Västra Ågatan 16, 753 09 Uppsala

Time: September 27 at 17:00 to 19:00

On the occasion of International Day of Elimination of Violence against Women, Amnesty International’s END FGM European Campaign has launched a Europe-wide action to raise at least 8,000 signatures on rose petals in solidarity with the 8,000 girls and women worldwide who are forcibly subjected to the practice of female genital mutilation (FGM) every day.

Feb 5 2010 - END FGM strategy launched

In advance of International Day of Zero Tolerance to female genital mutilation (FGM) on 6 February, Amnesty International's END FGM European Campaign calls on European leaders to support its strategy to protect young girls and women affected by FGM.

END FGM is a campaign run by Amnesty International Ireland, in partnership with non-governmental organisations across the European Union and Female Integrity is one of these NGOs.
